STRIP AND DIP 8th June 2024

Magheramore Beach, Wicklow, Ireland

Ladies we are going to have the best day ever. Below are rough formalities of the day. For those of you who join us for the first time… we are so envious of you as nothing beats the first time!!

Rough Schedule of The Day

8-9am	Breakfast in Arklow Bay Hotel – cost of brekkie included for residents. Non residents welcome and cost of €15 per person for the full Irish
8-9am	Fun and Frolics and a great Song that all dippers will sing to go out live on Facebook and Nova. East Coast FM on site as well for interviews. Requests taken and played on Nova.
8-9am	Meet Jimmy and the Team from Aoibheann’s Pink tie
10am	Buses leave from Arklow Bay Hotel to the Beach – cost included in registration
11am	Arrive at Beach
11am	Parking available in the field beside the dip (if not taking the bus) cost included in the registration
11am	Make your way down to the main Dip Car Park
11-12am	Fun and laughter, Body Art, Craic, More Craic, the odd tipple
12.30-1pm	Make your way down to the beach for dip (rough time)
1.30pm	Countdown for Dip and let’s scare the crap out of the fish!
2pm	All need to be out of the water and dressed
2.30	More craic, chat and song back at the main car-park
3.30.4pm	Buses collect from Beach
5pm	Arrive back at Arklow Bay – grab yourself a bite to eat in the hotel or the town, or go for a nap before the big night
9pm	DISCO FEVER – dance the night away with bar til 12.30 at the Hotel (free for residents, €10 for non residents) includes a welcome glass of Prosecco

Rules of The Day

You absolutely must have fun
You absolutely must meet and talk to loads of fabulous ladies
You must shed your inhibitions
You must ABSOLUTELY NOT take any cameras/phones down to the beach (every lady is respected and so is their privacy)
You must ABSOLUTELY NOT take any alcohol down to the beach (you can have a tipple before and after but not on the beach)
There must be ABSOLUTELY not one spec of rubbish left on the beach (skips will be provided in car park area)

Transport/Parking

Buses leave from Arklow Bay Hotel at 10am (cost included in registration)
Parking is available in the field beside the beach (cost included in registration) – please arrive no later than 11.15
Please note – no mini-buses or cars are allowed drive down the lane all dippers to be left at the top of the lane
This year there is no parking at all at the end of the lane if you are in need of support to get to the beach one of our helpers will gladly assist you from where you park.
Only one car allowed in main Car Park which is Peggy the wonderful Strip and dip Car who we all love – thanks Pauline!
There are no friends to come along for support, or onlookers, anyone on the beach that day is either dipping or a helper.

Your Security and Decency/Dignity 😊

Once again lovely Wayne is head of Security, he will be the only man you will see during the day
Wayne organised everything on the day to make sure us women have total privacy
There will be a Gardai security presence (men at the gate) and women gardai at the car park who will make sure we are all in order and keep an eye on our valuables while we dip
After the dip please get dressed as soon as possible and enjoy fun in the car park
Under no circumstance can ladies take their mobiles with them and take photos on the beach

Your Safety

We will have a fully staffed ambulance on the day
We will have a head lifeguard (Michelle) and a team of 8 First Responders

Donations on the Day

We will have a team from Aoibheann’s Pink Tie on the beach and at the Hotel – Please leave donations with any of the Stewards
Please feel free to handover any cheques/bank drafts please to the team with your name on the envelope so we can include it in our total
